Your travels are personal. My Travel Footprints is designed to help you remember where you have been without an account, advertising or tracking.
Information you add
My Travel Footprints lets you record places you have visited, including countries, regions, cities, attractions, years and notes you choose to add. This travel history is stored on your device. We do not operate user accounts and do not receive or store your travel history on our servers.
Photos
You can add photos to your visits. The app only uses the photos you choose through the iOS photo picker and cannot see the rest of your photo library. The photos you add are stored with your travel history on your device and in your iCloud account if iCloud is turned on.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, your travel history and photos are synced to your own private iCloud account using Apple’s iCloud service. This lets you keep your travels when you change phones and see them on your other devices. This data is stored in your iCloud account, not on our servers, and we cannot access it. iCloud is provided by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
Location and maps
If you choose to use your current location, the app uses the location permission provided by iOS to show your position or help you record a place. Your location is used only on your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else. The app does not track your location in the background. You can change location access at any time in iOS Settings.
The app uses Apple Maps to display geographic information. Map requests may be processed by Apple in accordance with Apple’s privacy policy.
Premium subscription
My Travel Footprints Premium is an optional subscription sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles all payments, and we never receive your payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether your subscription is active. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple account settings.
Advertising, tracking and data sharing
My Travel Footprints does not contain advertising, does not use analytics, and does not track you across apps or websites. We do not collect, sell or share your personal information, and we do not share any data with advertisers or data brokers.
Deleting your information
You can remove individual travel records using the app’s controls, clear all of a traveller’s records with “Clear all markings” in Stats, or delete a traveller. You can remove all information stored on your device by deleting the app. To delete the copy stored in iCloud, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage on your iPhone or iPad.
Children’s privacy
My Travel Footprints does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the app’s features or data practices change. The current version and effective date will appear on this page.
